Waterlooville, Cowplain, Horndean, Clanfield, Purbrook and Chichester.

Established since 1984 DT Cleaning strongly believe that cleaning windows actually is a trade and a skill. We have watched and seen many "window cleaners" at work, and seen how some have tried to do it properly, but never really grasp the correct way of cleaning windows.

How do we clean the windows?

Washing windows the traditional way using applicator mops and squeegees, and making sure that the glass is clean (including the corners). We wipe around your frames and sills, so you are not left with messy drips and watermarks from the water used.

Our normal schedule is

Based upon the weather (that's the sad part about the UK) we usually call every 4 weeks for domestic properties, and depending upon properties, this schedule can vary according to each of the individual needs, but generally speaking, for pubs, offices and shops, this would be weekly, or fortnightly, again dependant on certain factors.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured for Public & Employers Liability. A copy of our certificate is available for inspection by any existing customers wishing to see it.

Having insurance (unless you are employing people) is not actually a legal requirement. That is probably why so many people seem to start up a "window cleaning business", as it is a business that will normally have cheaper overheads.

However although you as a customer may not really care if your window cleaner has insurances, you might do when they could perhaps cause some accidental damage to your property. As a professional business with the actual overheads (costs) to match, we therefore do have to charge accordingly for window cleaning jobs. Some people may believe that these costs are high, especially if they compare them to someone who has no insurance or perhaps even have other ways of getting income in, and so perhaps can afford to do the job cheaper.

Why do you need Public Liability Insurance?

Public Liability is not a legal requirement but it is good business practice. Local authorities will generally demand a minimum level of £2m for works to be undertaken at their premises or on their behalf. Although not compulsory public liability insurance is generally required because it provides your business with cover against legal claims, and as a customer, it gives you the added safeguard of knowing that should the worse happen, then you can at least hopefully have some protection.

Often we find, or know of, "window cleaners", who have not taken out this type of insurance, and if they are employing others as well, they are definitely breaking the law, if they do not have Employers Liability Insurance.

If your window cleaner and/or cleaner, is not insured, then that means that if any damages happen, you will almost certainly have to take legal action against them personally, in the slim hopes, of actually being able to recover your financial losses.
