Commercial Cleaning - Types of contracts
There are 2 distinct types of cleaning contract offered by DT Cleaning Services. The first type is called "Regular Service". The second type of cleaning contract is termed as "Interim Service". To find out more about these two types of commercial cleaning contracts please read this page which will help explain the differences between each type of contract, and what conditions are being placed upon us and you to ensure that your cleaning requirements are met professionally.
Regular Service Contract
A regular service contract (also referred to as a service agreement), is defined by us as an agreement between ourselves and the client, and is either agreed upon verbally, or by writing. Furthermore it will involve regular work (regular work is defined as being of a repeating nature, daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly). Usually we would have run through a clients requirements in some detail and either submitted our appraisal or quotation beforehand, again this could have been verbally provided. If at this point the client has then accepted the services as provided by DT Cleaning at an agreed rate, time, method of payment and so forth, then this will mean that we and the client have entered into a Regular Service Contract.
You can view the Terms and Conditions of a regular service contract (service agreement) by visiting this link. All sections apply.
Interim Service Contract
A interim service contract (also referred to as a service agreement), is defined by us as an agreement between ourselves and the client, and is either agreed upon verbally, or by writing. It may involve providing similar services as defined in a regular service contract, but with the exceptions of the following:
1. An interim service session rate would almost certainly be higher than a standard tied in contract rate. This is because the service period may only last a few days, perhaps a week or so, and therefore would mean that staff coverage would be at a higher premium.
2. An interim service would only have a 24 hour minimum notice to terminate the contract. This minimum period would apply to both us and you, and therefore would allow either party the opportunity to either, in our case cancel staff coverage, or in your case, to make alternative arrangements.
3. Duration of an interim service - an interim service could only be provided up to a MAXIMUM of 14 days (including weekends). The 14 day "interim service rule" means that this 14 day period is running concurrently. It does not mean 14 days spanned across 3 months for example! At the end of this 14 day interim service period, it would then be at our sole discretion if we wished to extend further cleaning provisions and services but still using a contract that is not tied into any minimum extended period of notice.
Usually we would have run through a clients requirements in some detail and either submitted our appraisal or quotation beforehand, again this could have been verbally provided. If at this point the client has then accepted the services as provided by DT Cleaning at an agreed rate, time, method of payment and so forth, then this will mean that we and the client have entered into a Interim Service Contract.
If the customer was using the Interim Service, then the Terms and Conditions of a regular service contract (service agreement) would still apply, except sections 7.1. If you have any questions about an Interim Service Contract please contact us if you would like to know more, or need some clarification on any points.
